Dr. David E. Witherspoon
Dr.
David E. Witherspoon graduated from University
of Queensland, Queensland,
Australia in 1988. He then entered general practice in Australia for
the next three years. During this time he successfully completed a Bachelor
of Economics at University of Queensland, Queensland, Australia. In 1991
he moved to London, England where he continued to practice general dentistry
for the next two years. In 1993 he began the graduate endodontics program
at Baylor College of
Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He successfully completed
advanced training in his specialty in 1996. In 1996 he joined the faculty
at Baylor College of Dentistry as assistant director of Graduate Endodontics.
In 1998 he joined the team at North Texas Endodontic Associates.
He is a member of the American Association
of Endodontics and the International
Association of Dental Traumatology. He is a Past-President of the Southwest
Society of Endodontics, and the DFW Metroplex Endodontic Society. He
has presented many lectures on endodontics at an international, national,
and local level. He is co-author of several chapters in Pathways
of the Pulp, a leading endodontic textbook used at most dental schools through
out the world. He is a scientific reviewer for several academic journals
and has published numerous scientific articles. He was honored by the
American Association of Endodontist as the 1999 recipient of the Young
Endodontic Educator Award. He is a Diplomate of the American
Board of Endodontists. In 2003, Dr. Witherspoon was honored when selected by his
peers to the D magazine list of “Best Endodontists” in Dallas.

Dr. Joel C. Small
Dr. Joel C. Small received his DDS (Doctor
of Dental Surgery) in 1976 from the University
of Texas Dental Branch,
Houston, Texas, then continued with a two year residency
in endodontics while serving as an assistant clinical professor.
He has served as a national spokesperson for the American
Association of Endodontists. In private practice as an endodontic specialist since
1978, Dr. Small has been active in many local, state and national dental
organizations. He is a past president of the Southwest Society of Endodontists
and the Greater Plano Dental Society. He also served on the board of
directors of the Dallas County Dental
Society, and the Research and Education
Foundation of
the American Association of Endodontists.
He maintains an active membership in the American
Dental Association,
the Texas Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontists.
In addition to being an avid outdoorsman and full time father, Dr. Small
is active in community affairs. He is a graduate of the “Leadership
Plano” program sponsored by the Plano Chamber of Commerce and was
honored as a semi-finalist for “Plano Father of the Year.” Dr.
Small and his wife Brenda have three children: Jennifer, Zach, and Abby.
In 2003 Dr. Small was honored when selected by fellow dentists to the “D” magazine
list of “Best Endodontists“ in Dallas.

Dr. John D. Regan
Dr. Regan graduated from Trinity
College Dublin, Ireland
in 1980, then worked in private practice for many years. He earned a
Masters in Restorative
Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute in London,
England, in 1989, and a Masters in Oral Biology and a certificate in
Endodontics in 1998 at Baylor College
of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Regan is a diplomate of the American
Board of Endodontists and a
certified member of the European
Society of Endodontics. He is a member
of the American Association of Endodontists and the Southwest Society
of Endodontists. He is a member of the DFW Metroplex Endodontic Society
and currently serves as its vice president.
Dr. Regan was interim director of the graduate program at Baylor from
2001-2003, and continues as a part time associate professor and assistant
director in Baylor
College of Dentistry’s Department of Endodontics.
He is the author of four chapters in endodontic textbooks and has written
numerous research and review papers. He has lectured extensively both
in the U.S. and abroad. He is on the editorial board of Endodontic
Practice and is a reviewer for both the International
Endodontic Journal and the
Journal of Endodontics.
Dr. Regan is married to Deborah, a periodontist. They have two sons,
Conor (12) and Killian (9).
