David E. Witherspoon BDS, MD, MFA, FICD
Originally from Australia, Dr. Witherspoon embarked on his journey in dentistry at the University of Queensland, earning dual degrees: a Bachelor of Dental Sciences and a Bachelor of Economics. His early career took him through five years of General Dentistry in Australia and the United Kingdom. Seeking further specialization, he pursued advanced training at Baylor College of Dentistry, where he obtained a Certificate of Advanced Specialty Training in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology in 1996-1997.
During his tenure at Baylor from 1996 to 2001, Dr. Witherspoon not only thrived as full-time faculty but also contributed as assistant director of the graduate endodontic program. Today, he dedicates himself to endodontic practice while enriching the next generation of dentists. Beyond dentistry, his assion for learning led him to complete a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013, adding a creative dimension to his professional journey.

John D. Regan, DDS, MA, MSc, MS, FICD
Originally hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Dr. Regan completed his dental career at Trinity College in Dublin. After eight years practicing general dentistry in London, he pursued advanced studies at the Institute of Dental Surgery, Eastman Dental Hospital from 1998 to 1999, earning a Master’s in
Restorative Dentistry from the University of London.
In 1995, he relocated to Dallas, Texas, where he completed his education at Baylor College of Dentistry in 1998. There, he obtained a Certificate of Advanced Specialty Training in Endodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology. With a strong commitment to education, he served as a faculty member at The Institute of Dental Surgery, Eastman Dental Hospital, and later as fulltime graduate faculty and Interim Director of the graduate endodontic program at Baylor from 2001 to 2005.
Today, he practices endodontics full-time and holds the position of adjunct faculty at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry.

In his free time Dr. Regan likes to cook, read, exercise and is an amateur photographer. He is married to Deborah, who is the Director of Undergraduate Periodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry. They have two sons named Conor and Killian. Their family dog is a yellow labrador named Luci.
Esther C. Tam, DMD, MSD, FRDC
Dr. Tam completed a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology and Genetics from the University of British Columbia. Her passion for dentistry led her to earn her DMD from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dentistry in 2003, where she also achieved a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Endodontics by 2006.
With a rich background in both Boston and Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Tam has made significant contributions as the former Undergraduate Director of Endodontics at the University of British Columbia Faculty of Dentistry from 2010 to 2013. Currently, she serves as a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in the Department of Endodontics. Her expertise extends beyond academia; Dr. Tam is a published author in the esteemed Journal of Endodontics and is renowned for her engaging lectures, delivered both locally and internationally.
Dedicated to advancing her field, Dr. Tam is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Dallas County Dental Society, and Greater DFW Endodontic Society. She is also honored as a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Tam finds joy in family life with her husband, Kenny, and their two children, Zachary and Sophia. Her passions include: yoga, Pilates, exploring new cuisines and traveling.

Antonio Berto, DDS, FICD
Originally from Spain, Dr. Antonio Berto completed his dental training in Madrid, earning his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) degree in 2005.
After working one year as a general dentist, he decided to pursue further specialization and became a Fellow in the Department of Endodontics at Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry in 2006, where he also obtained his Certificate of Advanced Specialty Training in Endodontics in 2009.
After graduating, Dr. Berto served as Director of Endodontic Curriculum at the Advanced Education of General Dentistry from 2009-2015 and also served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics.
Today, he practices endodontics full-time while continues lecturing both nationally and internationally.
